We traveled up to Utah for a long weekend, Jennifer drove and Josh fly up after his work meetings. Because family was all out of town, I opted to get an uber driver to take me to the airport. I enjoy this option because then a friend or family doesn't have to sit in traffic all the way home, and its usually cheaper than gas and parking for the length of the trip. Also, the drivers are usually entertaining to talk with. Also, cheaper than the airport super shuttles. I felt very safe. Because I'm such a great wife, I got Josh a business class ticket (one way) from LAX ~ SLC. Save your money folks, it wasn't worth it. The airline was American Airlines, and with a business class ticket you CAN'T go into the lounge what the heck??? You pay extra money and all you get is leg room. The flight and plane itself isn't worth the upgraded cost. When doing these shorter distances, its best to do economy. The flight attendants only gave me 1 drink, when asked for more they said sure, but they never came. I wasn't impressed for it being business class.
While in Provo or St. George Sodalicious, Swig & Costa Vida are great places to get a snack or dinner. Sodalicious & Swig have or will make any kind of soda that you want. For example, my favorite a dirty Dr. Pepper they add vanilla to the drink. It is really good and you get a big 64 oz cup where you really shouldn't drink the whole thing but end up drinking it its so good. They have all kinds of options with other soda flavors as well, some are funny be adventures and give one a try. At Swig, you can also order a really big pink sugar cookie, these make your head spin....in a good way of course. They are kept cold, but not too cold where you can still eat the cookie right away. Costa Vida is smiliar to Cafe Rio, just a little different. We prefer Cafe Rio, maybe its just because we have Cafe Rio here in California and its a place we go to often. We think that the house dressing is better tasting at Cafe Rio. At Costa Vida, we did get a chicken salad and it wasn't anything to write more about....
On our drive back to California we stopped by Brianhead ski resort and stayed the night at Cedar Breaks Lodge. We booked our room from Priceline.com from bid now. The resort said it had a high reviewer rating, it wasn't very crowded when we were there, but we thought it was less of a rating than what google and trip advisor had given it. We wouldn't go back here. Here's why, it was old and not well kept. There were other places closer to the resort that looked more welcoming and appealing. While in town we went and ate at Pizanos Pizzeria which was delicious. Its the only pizza place in town, but its okay because it was delicious. The service was great and quick. We chose to eat there in the restaurant and enjoyed the fresh pizza with all you can drink soda.
Brainhead Ski Resort was a fun place to go. We were there on a hoilday weekend and the resort is so big, that it felt like there were only a handful of people on the actual mountain. The mountain has all levels of runs as well as a snow park with jumps, and boxes. We were there form open to 3:30, and didn't have to wait in line at all. the workers were always waiting for us to get on the lift. This ski resort was clean and a great place for all levels of skiing and snowboarding. We would come back here again. The drive alone is worth the day trip up to the resort.
