Treasure Island, Bahamas
Have you heard of this slice of heaven? While on a 5 day NCL (Norwegian) cruise, we had a day stop and know why its called Treasure Island. We were able to swim with the pigs. These pigs were so adorable and friendly. The workers taught us how to feed the pigs, and how to be calm while enjoying swimming with them. Did you know that these pigs love apples? They joked that apples go in and applesauce comes out. Hahaha If you have the opportunity we recommend this tour. The guides were friendly and had an endless supply of apples for us to feed the pigs. We were able to bring our Gopro hero 7 with us in the water to capture great pictures.
We went to the furthest beach area and had it to ourselves. NCL’s private island had plenty of bars and food trucks with food. The dessert was AMAZING! We enjoyed swimming in the warm clear turquoise water and relaxing in the sun. While on Great Stirrup Cay, one can have a private cabana, rent paddle boards, rafts, tours such as swimming with pigs or stingrays etc. While getting back on the boat, NCL workers greeted us with cool towels to refresh ourselves. We had been to the Bahamas before, it was fun to explore another beautiful island.
